Foodie Monday: Best ever BBQ chicken rub

Hi guys,

I’m going to be giving away a Wroblewsky family secret here on the blog today, so hopefully Mike doesn’t find out 😉

This is Mike’s recipe for the best ever BBQ chicken rub that we serve up at our epic barbecues (warning – this has some kick!):

Mike’s Southwest Chicken Rub (adapted from the Grilling Chicken Cookbook) :

1/4 c. dry chilli powder

1/4 c. dark brown sugar

1/8 c. ground cumin

1/8 c. black pepper

1 tsp. ground cinnamon

1 tsp. mustard

1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar

1 tbsp. minced garlic

1 tsp. hot sauce

Mix all dry ingredients together first, then add the wet and mix again.  Apply the rub to chicken and let rest at least 20 minutes before barbecuing.   

Yum!
