Sparkling Clean Tuesday – your kids bedrooms + Mike’s french toast recipe

Hi friends,

It’s a bonus Sparkling Clean Tuesday after the wonderful long weekend, here’s your cleaning challenge and then a bonus recipe for Mike’s delicious french toast that we had yesterday morning.

Today’s challenge is to enter your kids domain – their bedroom, and purge.  You know your kids, they either need to be there or it’s better if they’re not.  I have one of each.  So I purge Nick’s room when he isn’t home and Max and I do his together.  As it’s a new school year, check for clothes and toys they’ve outgrown, sweep for garbage and then do a thorough clean since this is the time!  Having a shiny, clean, decluttered room will help them concentrate, and be better in school too.  Good luck!

Mike’s French Toast:
– 1 loaf french bread, sliced thickly (about 1″ slices)

– 1 dozen eggs

– 1/2 c. milk or half and half cream

– 1/2 c. brown sugar

– 1 tsp. vanilla extract

– 1/4 c. cinnamon

– Icing sugar to top

– Beat your eggs in a large bowl, add in order milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon, stir well.

Dip your toast in one at a time, transfer to hot griddle or pan immediately, flip when golden brown.  Top with icing sugar and serve – yum!
