Financial Friday: Keeping a bill due date calendar

Hi friends,
Keeping a bill due date calendar is a great idea, a simple one, to keep your monthly payments on track.
Just print up a paper calendar and write in the due dates of your regular bills, utilities, mortgage or rent, insurance, car payment, credit card or loan payments and everything else that you normally pay.
Keep this paper calendar with your bills to be paid (we have a basket on top of the microwave) and double check against the calendar when paid.
Another great idea is to sit down once a week together with your spouse or roommate if you have one, and help each other check if you’re on time and on track.
