Financial Friday: Adding and subtracting

Hi friends,

It’s Financial Friday, and if your budget is out of control, an adding and subtracting lesson may be in order.

The only way to manage your budget if your expenses are too high are –

A) Cut your expenses and subtract from your costs

B) Make more money and add to your income

I’ve talked about cutting your grocery bill and your utility costs in previous Financial Friday posts.  So, I wanted to mention Option B – make more money and add to your income.  Look at the time in your day.  Can you carve out some time to take a part time job or even add a part time job if you’re already working?  This is a very good way to add to your income that often will come with the perk of medical/dental benefits, RRSP contribution and other great incentives that some companies add to their part time employees packages.  Look into it, think about it, and find something that is right for you.
