I know that life is busy and that work days can be full of bills, work, cleaning, and obligations.
Once a week, it’s a great idea to zero in on your kids one on one for a half hour date. You don’t need to leave the house, or spend a lot of money. Ask the kids what they want to do. Finding a family show, a board game, a project to do together, going to get a slurpee or an ice cream or even a doing a chore can be an excellent time to bond and chat while you do something together. Make sure to leave some silence for your child to express themselves while you listen.
Plan and have a fun half hour together!
