It’s a good time of year to freshen up your kitchen drains, since we’re mostly stuck inside with the bad weather outside.
Here’s what you will need per drain (I have a double sink so I do each one individually):
– 1/2 c. baking soda
– 1/2 c. white vinegar
– 1 lemon
All I do is pour in the baking soda, and scrub it around the drain with a toothbrush. Then I add the vinegar and then squeeze in the lemon juice. Lastly, I run hot water over the whole sink and down the drain until everything is gone.
If you have a garburator, do the same steps, but after rinsing, add the lemon cut into pieces and a handful of ice cubes into your garburator, and then run it with the water running until it’s done chewing up the pieces.
