Here’s the recipe for cookies that last for 4 seconds in my house.
Magnificent Mini Bar Cookies:
From Hershey’s Timeless Treasures page 205, some edits by me
– 2/3 c. Becel margarine
– 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
– 1/3 c. white sugar
– 1 egg
– 1.5 tsp. vanilla extract
– 1.5 c. all purpose flour
– 1/2 tsp. baking soda
– 1/2 tsp. salt
– 1 pkg. mini chocolate bars (or if you can’t find them, break up 3 Hershey’s milk chocolate bars)
– 3/4 chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat butter and 2 sugars thoroughly. Add egg and vanilla, beat until well blended. Add dry ingredients and stir. Add nuts and stir until mixed. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes until lightly browned. Cool for 3 minutes, transfer to wax paper. Press one mini chocolate bar onto each cookie and let set. Cool completely & enjoy!
