Foodie Monday: Beef Italia

Hi friends,

Here’s a comfort food recipe, without the time constraints of lasagna, but with a similar taste.

Beef Italia

List of Ingredients

Meat Mix:

2 lbs. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 tbsp. cooking oil
1 1/2 tsp. seasoning salt

Tomato Cheese Mixture:

1-10 oz. can of tomato soup
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
6 green onions, chopped
1/2 c. sour cream

1 bag broad egg noodles
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
1 c. grated mozzarella cheese


Meat Mix: Scramble fry beef and onion in oil until brown. Sprinkle with seasoned salt. Stir well.

Tomato/cheese Mixture: In medium bowl, mix soup, cream cheese, green ionion and sourcream together well. In uncovered dutch oven cook noodles until tender, but firm. (5-7 minutes). Drain.

Assemble in layers:
1. 1/2 noodles
2. meat
3. cheese
4. tomato/cheese
5. 1/2 noodles
6. 1/2 cheddar cheese
7. Mozzarella cheese
