Organized Camping Thursday: Packing a pantry bin

For Renee, as requested!
Hi friends,

Here’s a way to make camping a little more organized (not to mention easier!).  Look out for upcoming Organized Camping Thursday instalments in the next few weeks.

We recently bought a tent trailer and we have started our camping adventures, so exciting!

I started by buying a lock-top plastic bin, and a list of the pantry staples that we will use most while camping.  It lives in the trailer all summer, and I put a list on top in a plastic sleeve.  This way, if I run out of one item while camping, I can mark it with a dry erase marker and bring it next time.

Here’s my list:

Camping Pantry Tote:

Food staples are always in this tote, and it stays in the trailer (to be used/emptied at the end of each season):

  • Cooking Oil
  • Pam
  • Pancake Mix
  • Syrup
  • Granola bars
  • Salt & Pepper Shakers
  • Seasoning spice blends
  • Can of Tuna Fish
  • Soup – packages or cans
  • Can of beans
  • Bits and bites
  • Fruit snacks
  • Sugar
  • Cereal
  • Marshmallows
  • Graham Crackers (or chocolate cookies)
  • Chocolate Bars
  • Hot chocolate packages
  • Cookies
  • Iced tea powder
  • Peanut butter
  • Noodles

Good luck and have fun camping, buddies!
