Do you have a change jar? You should – grab a jar or other small container, put it in a convenient place to drop your change, like your bedroom dresser or near your front door, and start filling it with change from your pockets on a regular basis.
Then, create a plan for your change jar. Spending money for an upcoming weekend trip? Your book fund? Saving for an Xbox? A birthday party? You choose. Then, once you have a jar and a goal, you’re on your way to a new way of saving on a small scale.
